You’ve seen them all over our website. The name “Pro”, “Lux”, “Coil”, etc.
But what are they? Which car mat should you choose for your personal vehicle, that will last all weather?
Which custom car mats would be your best pick?
The short answer is, that each of them serves a different purpose.
As a long-time personalized car floor mat manufacturer, we understand exactly the need of different customer groups, and we roll out designs most suitable for each.
1. Mini series - best car mat for everyday use
The original and flagship, our Mini series packs a punch inside a minimal look. This car mat design has multiple functionalities which suit a variety of tastes and purposes.
The Mini series carries a collection of 9mm wide, embossed coin patterns. It resembles the classic polka dot - an elegant yet playful design. The flexibility of this series means it can adapt to different personal styles. It can elevate the interior of a luxurious car, yet it does not clash with more minimalist cabins.
Function-wise, a circular design is most suitable for everyday car floor mats. It creates winding paths that effectively slow down or stop fluid movements and trap dirt. Since it has no corners, cleaning is absolutely easy. Hosing it down is the quickest method, but you can also use a vacuum or a towel, depending on the spill.
All in all, the Mini series is the most versatile car floor mat design, suitable for a variety of tastes. It is the best car mat for people looking for a standard mat set, or those who enjoy the occasional hiking trip. It is suitable for personal, household, or commercial use.
2. Master series- the new powerhouse car mat
With the introduction of KATA’s upcoming US store, comes the brand new Master design. This design marks a leap in KATA’s product design, where practicality goes hand in hand with style.
The new Master car mat features a futuristic honeycomb pattern for those looking to make an impression. It gives the car cabin a spacier, more contemporary look.
Thanks to this optical advantage, the Master series is suitable for various car models, including those with more cramped spaces.
While this pattern has always been popular in interior design, it is rarely found in car decor, so this custom car mat will undoubtedly add a little pizzazz to your vehicle.
KATA Master series is the ideal companion for the next generation of car drivers: green, bold and unique.
KATA Master series retains the prominent features of its predecessors, while adjustments were made for urban areas. It has an enhanced ability to trap and prevent fine dust from traveling. The new pattern is also more accommodating for passengers with high heels.
3. Lux series - heavy-duty car mat for seasoned travelers
The Lux series is all about power from the very first glance. Boasting a waffle design of small-sized polygons, the Lux series is all about absolute car interior protection.
The waffle design comes with strong lines and sharp corners. It gives off a sporty look for those who love outdoor activities.
True to its aesthetics, the Lux series possess superior water containment ability. It essentially traps droplets of water into each cube, effectively cutting off the flow and any possibility of spilling on the floor.
The same applies to dirt, especially wet substances such as mud, snow, or sludge.
Thanks to PVC characteristics, the Lux series is easier to clean than other waffle car mats. Simply pat out any excess spills before hosing or vacuuming.
The Lux series custom car mat is best suited for active individuals who love adventures, swimming or exploring the wilderness.
It is also suitable for those living in more humid or snowy areas.
4. Coil series - best for hiding stains
Nomad mat, scraper mat, loop mat, etc. Although the names may differ, they all describe car floor mats characterized by coils and loops, creating a thick surface. Loop mats remain one of the most popular accessories for buildings and offices.
Our coil series features thick PVC loops that feel soft underfoot. While having no discernable pattern, it can easily blend in with any kind of interior design, and it is mostly used for offices and households thanks to this perk. It also hides dirt and debris extremely well, keeping a polished car look all the time.
Loop car mats when it comes to scraping off gravels and grits on your shoes’ bottoms. The coils keep dirt from being tracked into other areas.
PVC is mold-resistant, so it is very difficult for KATA’s coil car mat to smell bad.
They are also crush-resistance thanks to PVC origin, offering a cushioned, tactile feel.
Looped mats are suitable for everyday use, especially for people who love a clean look. They might require a tad more maintenance, but not by much.
